In the past, Nintendo has released system updates intended to improve performance but also to remove “unauthorized channels or firmware may affect the game or the Wii console. To this end, we could think of Homebrew Channel as an app launch channel, which means you can copy special apps and games to your SD card and launch them through HBC. For example, the Netflix Channel on the Wii is nothing more than a glorified Netflix app, and so on.
